Car sale–purchase agreement PDF

Download Regitra’s official vehicle sale–purchase agreement and review the essential steps before signing it. The form covers the parties, the vehicle and SDK, price and payment, known defects, signatures and the declaration of the ownership change.

WHAT THE FORM COVERS

More than names, price and signatures.

Read all three pages before the meeting so that defects, payment and handover steps are recorded in writing rather than left to a verbal understanding.

01

Parties

Seller and buyer details and contact information.

02

Vehicle

SDK, VIN, registration number, mileage and roadworthiness inspection.

03

Condition

Events and known braking, steering, suspension, safety or other defects.

04

Transaction

Price, payment method and time, and transfer of insurance documents.

05

Confirmation

Both signatures and ownership-declaration commitments.

06

Termination

A separate agreement section if the sale needs to be cancelled.

6-STEP CHECKLIST

Complete it without guesswork.

  1. 01

    Use the complete current form

Download the latest official version and complete all 3 pages, not only the first one.

  2. 02

    Check the parties and vehicle

Enter the buyer, seller, SDK and vehicle data accurately and compare it with the documents.

  3. 03

    Record price and payment

State the agreed amount, payment method and time, and retain evidence of payment.

  4. 04

    Describe known defects

Record body, engine, suspension, safety-system and any other known defects in writing.

  5. 05

The form sets out the actions for buyer and seller. The buyer submits the acquisition first and the seller then confirms the transfer.

    Check before signing

Review the date, details, price, defects and signatures. Both parties should retain a copy.

BEFORE HANDING OVER THE KEYS

Two details not to miss.

01 / PAYMENT

Cash up to €5,000

Total cash payments under one transaction may not exceed €5,000. If the car price is higher, the remainder must be paid by non-cash means.

VMI guidance
02 / DECLARATION

Both parties must declare

The current form states that the buyer declares acquisition within 5 working days and the seller confirms transfer within 5 working days after the buyer’s declaration.

FAQ

Short answers before you fill it in.

Is this an official vehicle sale–purchase agreement?+

Yes. This page provides an unchanged copy of Regitra’s official 3-page form and a link to its original source. The copy was checked on 2026-09-14.

Where should the SDK be entered?+

The first page of the form contains a dedicated field for the Owner Declaration Code (SDK).

Should vehicle defects be recorded?+

This is recommended. The official form includes defect checkboxes and space for further information, so record known engine, suspension, body or other defects clearly.

Can the full price be paid in cash?+

Only if total cash paid under the transaction does not exceed €5,000. Any amount above that limit must be paid by non-cash means.

When do the parties declare the ownership change?+

The current form gives the buyer and seller 5-working-day periods for their respective steps. Always follow the latest Regitra form and current official guidance.
